Vietnam Cambodia Thailand – 2 week itinerary

This Vietnam Cambodia Thailand 2 week itinerary is designed for mindful travelers seeking a deeper connection—with the culture, the people, and the planet—while staying in charming boutique hotels and supporting sustainable travel every step of the way.

Vietnam

Day 1 – Travel to Vietnam – arrival in Hanoi. Our flight arrived early in the day. We went to the hotel and since it was located in the old quarter we had the day to explore and rest. (sleep in Hanoi)

Day 2 – Lan Ha Bay Day trip. (sleep in Hanoi)

Day 3 – Travel to Ninh Binh by bus / van – we’ve booked online previously via 12Go Asia and all went smoothly. (Overnight stay in Ninh Binh)

Day 4 – Cycle through Ninh Binh, exploring the beautiful landscapes (sleep in Tam Coc)

Day 5 – Head back to to Hanoi and catch a flight to Da Nang. From here go to Hoi An (we took a Grab). (Overnight stay in Hoi An)

Day 6 – Enjoy the day in Hoi An. (sleep in Hoi An)

Cambodia

Day 7 – Go to Cambodia. We’ve traveled from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) to Cambodia by bus until Phnom Phen and then by van until Siem Reap.

Day 8 – See the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Explore Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Bayon Temple.

Day 9 – Explore Ta Prohm, Pre Rup and Banteay Srei.

THAILAND

Day 10 – Leave Cambodia (we’ve traveled by bus to Thailand to continue our trip). Coming from Siem Reap, we made our way to way to Koh Mak in Thailand by bus, van and boat via 12Go Asia. (Overnight in Koh Mak)

Day 11 – Island-hop to Koh Kood (stay overnight in Koh Kood)

After a relaxing morning we caught a boat to Koh Kood.

Day 12 – Explore the island.

Spend the day discovering the island — waterfalls, quiet beaches, and scenic scooter rides await. This slower pace is what makes Koh Kood a standout destination for sustainable travel and boutique hotels in Thailand.

Day 13 – Rest or schedule a snorkeling trip.

Take it slow or opt for a snorkeling trip if you’re feeling active. Both are equally rewarding.

Day 14 – Return to Bangkok (boat and bus – again with 12Go Asia).

Day 15 – Bangkok or WFF visit and departure. Travel home.

Whether it’s sipping coffee in Hanoi, watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat, or island-hopping in Thailand, this Vietnam Cambodia Thailand 2 week itinerary proves you can explore responsibly—staying in beautiful boutique hotels and making choices that support sustainable travel every step of the way.
