Oh Greece 😌 With so much to explore, I had to go back to this country to discover a few more of those beautiful, picturesque islands.
When To Go
If you’re looking for summer feelings, the best time to go to the Ionian Island is between June and September, with longer and warmer days and lovely water temperature.
Getting there
We flew from Madrid to Corfu.
Corfu
Corfu, name of the island and also of the old town, is truly a beautiful destination. After arriving, we caught a taxi to our accommodation (super expensive, and Uber was even worse!). We were located right in the middle of the old town, which made it the perfect base for exploring.
We started the morning with breakfast in a lovely brunch place before heading out to wander through the city. We went for breakfast and then explore the city. It has lots of small and cute stores and gorgeous jewelry. The old town is full of charming, narrow streets lined with small, lovely shops and stunning jewelry stores. Around almost every corner, you’ll also find cozy cafés, making it easy to stop for a coffee and soak in the atmosphere.
Paxos
On the next day we caught the ferry to Paxos and then a taxi to our accommodation. We asked around for the taxi as it can be a bit tricky to find one once you get out of the ferry. After leaving the luggage we went back in town to get ourselves a quad so that we were able to move around.
